Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) Man, we aint winning no fucking championship. We're getting ass raped by a bunch of rookies.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) This game is over. If we dont win NEXT game, forget it.... NO heart in this team.. NO FIRE....
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) I knew you had no bench, but damn Kobe with 12pts, Artest with only 5pts???, and out-rebounded 34-48
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) Lakers in 7, no way we're winning in this arena.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) Better be a fucking blowout in LA this Tuesday.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) Kind of hard to win the game when you don't consistently feed your two beasts. I kind of hope we lose so Mitch can realize that we need a pure shooter and a PG this off-season. Lamar has been worthless, too. FT discrepancies were a bit strange, but when we got ours we didn't hit them. This has the same feel as the Houston series last year. I'm not worried this round.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) Lamar? No way, ever since the All-Star he's been productive almost every game.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Really? Where has he been all series long? I don't give a fuck about what you do in the regular season, it is all about the post season when you wear the purple and gold. And he hasn't done fucking shit all series long. Phil continues to take jabs @ the refs. Supposedly in his press conference he said, "Free throw defense was great tonight....best I've seen in a long time." Enough with your personal vendetta against Stern, Phil. Continue it on the off-season. Right now it is just killing the Lakers. We can't even breathe on the Thunder without it being a foul. His stubbornness and continued attacks of the referees are pissing Stern off to no end right now. The Thunder got away with murder in OKC.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Lamar has never been great in the playoffs as far as I can remember. (or am I wrong?) Kobe has to step up too though, at least get 30+ a game, can't win with only 12. Another player who's basically sucked so far is Artest IMO.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Kobe can't step it up, though. The injuries throughout the year (finger, knee, ankle) have fucked him up. He isn't practicing between games because he is just resting his body. His stupid ego got the best of him and it is biting the whole team in the ass right now. Artest thumb is pretty fucked up, too IIRC. That is why his shot is horse shit right now. His defense (didn't see game tonight) hasn't been bad though. We signed him for defense...the offense was supposed to come from Kobe - Drew - Gasol. You can't get that offense from Drew and Gasol when Fisher, Farmar, and Brown refuse to give them the ball every time they should get it. The best we can hope for is that Kobe makes a smart decision and skips out on the summer basketball and gets the proper surgeries he needs. His shot right now is just disgusting. In the 2 games in OKC, the Thunder outshot the Lakers 82-40 in the FT department
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Lamar is inconsistent, but he usually steps up during the playoffs. Especially during those years when we matched up with the Suns, he was a warrior for us. He needs to wake up this year though. This team is very flawed, hopefully Mitch and Co. are taking notes. First of all, we need a point guard who can run the offense and distribute the ball. Fish is done. In the offseason, priority #1 is to acquire a starting point guard. Priority #2 is to acquire a backup point guard. Farmar is gone. Fish is only back for vet minimum and leadership, he shouldn't see any playing time. Beyond that, we need another big. We also need a backup SF and some shooters. Kobe, Ron, and Shannon need to get healthy. That means Kobe needs to get surgery on his hand and not play for the Olympic team this summer, like Lebron and Wade. This team has been pretty disappointing. I'm not worried about this series, but we're not going far at all if we continue to play this way.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-1) I actually just looked up that series right now btw. Can't believe we actually had to take it to 7 games with them. Hopefully we can end this shit in 6 though.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Lamar stepped up in games 1-6...disappeared in game 7 against Phoenix.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Lamar was very good last year when he played. Statistically he's pretty much the same player in the post-season, except this season is his worst playoff stretch ever. Kobe needs to be smart and efficient. He shouldn't go crazy with the scoring because we do have some options around here. He's injured, he's not the same player and he shouldn't just chuck either.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) I hope you mean he isn't the same player because he is injured...not because you think age has caught up to him. We can't judge that yet, we'll have to save that judgment for next season when he starts off healthy. Why didn't the team go to Drew in the 2nd half? He had 1 foul in the 1st half, and finished it with like 9 points and 7 boards. He finished the game with 13 and 10. Get him some god damn shots. You can't tell me the Thunder increased their defense @ halftime that drastically.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) I think Kobe has a couple of dominant years left but only if he saves himself for the playoffs. He can't play through injuries anymore or play as many minutes each night during the regular season. Then we can make a better title run.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) I miss Trevor... Artest hasnt shown up yet in the playoffs for us.
Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2) Fuck Trevor. Artest > Trevor. Artest's D > Trevor's D. I guarantee Trevor wouldn't be doing much better, if at all, than Artest right now.
