Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Who are some guys who dissapeared during the season, even with injuries ect...etc.. For me it's Emeka Okafor. He put up 15/11 his rookie year and this year he was NEVER mentioned at all, even with injuries and being on a bad team I cannot remember a time where such a up and coming player has been 'black listed'. He was the #2 pick with a team that got a new arena and it was like he never existed this season.

Chris Bosh was an all star this season. He averaged 22 and 9 and shot over 50%. He had one of the best seasons in the NBA.

Sure he made the ASG and everything but he got little media attention (With LeBron, Wade, Kobe..etc..) Not to mention he plays in...Canada... He got half the attention Dwight Howard got this year.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Yeah... I don't know how you can say Chris Bosh was "forgotten" this season. My "forgotten" players are (in no particular order):Steve FrancisKevin GarnettEmeka OkaforGrant HillSebastian TelfairMartell WebsterDarius MilesAmare StoudemireDeron Williams
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Sebastian Telfair and Martell Webster have done nothing to get any attention. Kevin Garnett has just dropped out of NBA discussions, a lot of people don't rate him high anymore because of the influx of great talent and the fact that the Wolves never do anything in the playoffs.

Bosh was a serious candidate for MIP. He improved his ppg averages by about 6. He was an all star for the first time we'll averaging 22 and 10 on 50 percent shooting. You dont get to see many Raptors games, do you? :no3:How about Larry Hughes. I know he was injured alot of the year but he was no where to be seen this year. A 7 ppg drop off well shooting .400 from the field. A bit of a dissapointment.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Darius Miles was always forgotten. Except when he was in that movie.

I mean the guy is a beast and he gets no respect. 15/11 as a rookie is so promising, yet they do not give him anything.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? How about Kenyon Martin? He only averaged 13 ppg this year. He really had a bad year and was supposedly a huge ass hole to the nuggets team.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ May 12 2006, 03:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I can kind of agree with Chris Bosh though, he averaged 22.5ppg/9 and got almost no publicity. If Bryan Colangelo makes some moves this year, I could see us going on a run.Cancel out our horrible start and when Bosh was injured and we're 25-27. Watch out folks.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Kevin Garnett - I think he's the biggest because I haven't heard anything from about him lately. The Wolves need to make some big moves this offseason, because I don't wanna see a superstar on a bad team.Steve Francis - Another star who was on 2 bad teams this season. New York has done horribly this season and I think his career is going downhill, because he can't lead a team and he takes way to many shots. Just look how the Magic are doing without him.Stromile Swift - The Rockets were suppose to contend with the Spurs, but they dissapeared from the picture. I haven't heard anything from Swift this season and rightfully so because he has averaged roughly 9 points and 4 rebounds. I was expecting bigger things from him this season because I thought he was going to start, but Howard took the spot.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Why is Swift being mentioned when no one cared about him in 04-05?
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Because people thought he would blow up before the season and have a monster year.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? I still care about you Swifty...But seriously, I think AI was forgotten - well more than usual. All the rising stars, Kobe and others really mad Iverson get overlooked. He had a pretty good statistical year, but he didnt really carry his team as well as he should have.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Yeah I think that is correct. He had a great all around year too but people over-looked him for guys like Kobe, Wade, Carmelo and Lebron.
Re: 2005-2006's Forgotten players? Ricky Davis-New attitude after being traded to the Wolves, sadly the Wolves aren't getting any coverage.Gerald Wallace-Another Bobcat who missed games,he is a great defensive player and should be better next year if he isn't riddled with injuries again.
