Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dajuan Wagner (born February 4, 1983 in Camden, New Jersey) is a former professional basketball player who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. He is the son of former University of Louisville and NBA player Milt Wagner. Forced out of the league by debilitating health problems early into his career, he is currently planning an NBA comeback after undergoing major surgery to remove his colon.Wagner had a phenomenal career at Camden High School and is perhaps better remembered for scoring 100 points in a high school game than his exploits at the collegiate and professional levels. He played one year of college basketball at the University of Memphis before being taken with the sixth overall pick of the 2002 NBA Draft, by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He had a promising rookie season averaging 13.4 points per game but was hampered by injuries and health problems thereafter. He averaged a career low 4.0 points per game while playing in only 11 games during the 2004-05 season, and was hospitalized for colitis. The Cavaliers did not exercise their option on his contract for the 2005-06 season and Wagner was out of the NBA.His colitis condition was not amenble to medication and, after consulting with New York Knicks head coach Larry Brown, who referred him to a New York medical expert, Wagner underwent surgery to remove his entire colon on October 25, 2005 at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He is currently in the stages of recovery and plans to return to the NBA as soon as he is able.</div> I feel bad for this guy, he had a hopefull rookie season and he's been through injury hell ever sense. And I don't know what the hell it's like not having a colon. Man. Let's hope Dajuan comes back healthy.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. I'm with you on this one man. This kid had a lot of talent and heart, and it is very unfortunate to see him riddled with injury and health problems since his NBA career began.I know he worked out for the Sixers a few times, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him possibly stick with them when he comes back. He's good friends with AI and Cheeks.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. I love Dajuan Wagner. He's a really gifted offensive player who has the heart of a lion and can score on a lot of different people thrown at him. He had the quickness/ballhandling of a PG with the scoring ability of a SG, but could also wow you with a play passing the ball every now and then. I hope Dajuan comes back strong.Another guy I absolutely love is Jay Williams (Duke/Bulls). He had a pretty good rookie year with the Bulls, an outstanding college career too, and he could have been a top PG in the NBA if he never was in that motorcycle accident. Last summer he said he was 85% and he worked out for some teams (including my Celtics), and he said he would wait, and he would be back for the 06-07 season! God I can't wait.Any articles on Jay Williams as well?
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. Yeah i agree with you guys as well. I feel bad for him. Hopefully a team will take a chance on him and benefit from it. He might come at a great value.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. Jay Williams writes blogs for NBA.com, I read them all, I hope he comes back from that injury. Also hoping Wagner comes back, he had such great potential. BCB put it very good, he's been through injury HELL.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. Jay Williams will never be the player he was 4 years ago. He broke his contract in riding a motorcycle so I don't feel as bad for him as I do Wagner.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. It makes you think how dedicated to getting into the NBA he is compared to players who are always asking for more money, complaining about their team, at least they are in the league and on a team. I really feel bad for this guy.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. Dajuan Wagner is good at nothing besides scoring. No team would need him anyway.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. I feel really bad for him. He worked his ass off to get to the NBA. He scored 100 points in a game, and proved his offensive skills his 1st year in the NBA. I hope he makes a nice comeback, i'll be cheering for him...

Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. I hope he makes a successful return but it feels like people are making him out to be a better player then he is. He's just a scorer, his mentality is the put the ball in the hole, not much of a defender, and for his size lacks pg skills. So he's restricted to shooting guard, where his size becomes a liability. He's like a rich man Eddie House so a team will pick him up killa.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. This dude once scored 100 points in a high school game. He has a lot of talent, and I respect him. I hope he comes back, I remember watching a lot of Cavs games on national tv in the 03-04 season and watching him play. I wish him the best.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>This dude once scored 100 points in a high school game.</div> All that tells me is he was probably their best player/scorer and they fed him on every play. And because it was a high school game, it's not that impressive, guy can't live off the reputation.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. Anyone have any idea what team he will be planning to return to?

They brought him in for some workouts, and he is close friends with Allen Iverson and Maurice Cheeks. However, since Willie Green returned to the 76ers, I don't know how much they would be in need of a guy like Wagner.I'm sure there is a team out there who will give him the chance and sign him to atleast a minimum contract.
Re: Let's all hope Dajaun Wagner comes back. Pistons could always use some young talent. Ten day contract or something, maybe workouts in the offseason.I feel bad for him. I didn't watch him much in his rookie year, but I know scouts were comparring him to AI before NBA. What a shame.
