ANGELS, Los Angeles – Los Angeles Angels passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010, after a lengthy battle with the Yankees after two games into the series. Predeceased by Oakland(one series ago) and Texas (two series ago). They are survived by dirt that was left in their face. Cremation will take place again on Sunday.

The New York Yankees won over the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 7-1.

This game was over in the fourth inning when the Yankees were winning 4-0. I knew this. How did I know it? I was able to just “feel” it. You know when the Yankees have another teams’ number and the Yankees had the Angels as early in the fourth inning. It was over by then my friends. Over! Done! Finished! I started writing the obituary as early as the top of the fourth inning! Yeah!

Andy Pettitte. Do you know what he did? He DEVILED the Angels! I don’t even know if “deviled” is a word but if it isn’t, it is one now. He gave up one earned run on six hits in eight innings of work. He had eight knee buckling strike outs. His cutter and curveball where DEVASTATING. He was getting “swinging” strike outs with his cutter. His control was INCREDIBLE all day long.

Yankee fans? I’m so happy right now. I’m so happy to see Andy Pettitte successful. Watching him pitch is like watching Stevie Ray Vaughn play the guitar. It’s magical. It puts you in a trance when you watch Andy pitch. He’s phenomenal. It’s phenomenal that he can pitch at the age he’s pitching at and still, dominate. He’s a phenom! That’s the only way you can describe it! How else would you describe Andy Pettitte’s brilliant perfomance? He might get the Cy Young this year! I hear that the Cy Young voters are calling him now!

Yankee fans. There is a player putting the league on notice. He’s Brett Gardner. He should start every day. He just makes things “happen.” He will hit a double and turn it into a triple. He will steal second base and make it easy for Mark Teixeira to drive him in. He did that today. He’d do things like that every day. He does this AND that.

Robinson Cano is just awe-inspiring. He’ll single and score on a double. He’s batting .369. Wow. I can’t take it. Let me get up and get my bearings. I need to step away from the computer to be able to handle that greatness….

Ok, I just had some ice tea. Whoa… Let me take a deep breath…

See, when you get on base like Robinson Cano does, you have the opportunity to score runs. Today? He scored A LOT of runs and had four hits. FOUR in total. WHO does that? WHO?? I’ll tell you who. Robinson Cano does that! Can you believe it Yankee fans? Can you?? Afterall, You GOTTA believe!!

I have to say something about the “Cisco kid” Francisco Cervelli. He ALWAYS seems to get the big hit. ALWAYS. Fourth inning. Were you there?? Did you see it? The Yankees had two outs with the bases loaded. Joel Pineiro thought that he’d have an easier time with the bottom of the order so he intentionally walked Curtis Granderson.

The Cisco kid stepped up and drove in A-Rod and Cano! At that time, the game was basically over for the Angels. YOU knew they weren’t coming back, “I” knew they weren’t coming back and the Angels themselves knew they weren’t coming back to win this game.

Swisher was great. Jeter was great. Hey, guess what? The Yankees ARE great! I’m going out to eat with my friends tonight at a diner not too far from my house. I have this to say…. LET’S GO YANKEES!!!! CLAP, CLAP, CLAP CLAP CLAP!! LET’S GO YANKEES!!! COME ON! LET’S GO!! WHEN I SAY LET’S GO, I MEAN LET’S GO LIKE COACH BILL COWHER SAID LET’S GO WHEN HE WAS COACHING THE STEELERS!! LET’S GO!!! YANKEES WIN!!!
