Say, isn't Adrian Dantley an acquaintance of yours?

Man, he'd have to feel TERRIBLE should the Nugz lose this series....that is, considering Karl's condition.

Yep, I know AD a little. We're two Redskins fans stuck in Denver, we belong to the same gym and generally workout at the same time. If the Thuggets have a day off on a Sunday, we'll catch a 'Skins game at bar. I haven't talked with him about being the acting head coach, but I know he feels the pressure. The bottom line about coaching the Thuggets is less about Xs and Os and more about dealing with the roster full of crazy they have. That is a team that feeds off emotion and also gets consumed by it when it goes against them. Karl is a great manager of nutjobs; AD is more of a guy who thinks about matchups and what he needs to do to help his team win.

Would AD be a good coach for a well-behaved Blazers squad? Hypothetically speaking, of course.

I think there are better candidates than AD out there, including Monty Williams.

I'm assuming Monty, not wanting any part of a Greg Oden who hates the team, a Roy who is too stupid to stay on the IR, and an LMA who is barely a third option, will depart for Charlotte. :D
