Man I sure hope so. It's hard to imagine though. From June 5, 2000 up until that summer we had some LOW lows, which made the high of winning the #1 pick in the draft where a "once in a generation" big man was available even sweeter. Remember that article in the ESPN mag where Oden said he wanted to win like 6 or 7 championships? It's hard to imagine a buzz like that again. I mean, we were talking a Shaq/Laker Style Dynasty (or better) Not I wouldn't be happy with Oden being a 12/9/2.5 guy, staying healthy, and helping us win ONE championship because at this point I would. But when you compare it with the thought of him being the most dominating Center since Shaq and leading us to several titles . . . that just doesn't seem likely anymore.
