I just remembered that at one point this season, the Suns had lost 18 straight games on TNT. The streak was eventually broken, but STILL-- this could be a weakness that we might exploit! We won Game 1 on TNT but then got blown out twice on NBATV, a station hardly anyone watches. For Game 4, the series turns back to TNT. Clearly, the Suns have a fear of the big stage. Perhaps we'll look back on this series and notice that the Suns only won the two NBATV games! I'm trying here. I'm trying.
I don't think it's the big stage or anything, they are already surrounded by 20,000 fans and are used to cameras. However there are extra timeouts which lengthens the game and causes longer breaks. Maybe that interferes with their offensive flow and takes them out of their free flowing rhythm.
Close. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.cgi?id=DCBVv 52 vs PHX - TNT 42 @ HOU- no natl. tv 42 vs HOU - NBA TV-- playoffs last year 41 @ GSW- TNT 41 vs DEN- ESPN
Any edge we can get, I'll take it. If we can get Game 5... Game 6 in Portland will be CRAZY. Hopefully TNT picks that one up too!
A) NBC doesn't air NBA games. B) Phoenix's two wins were on NBATV. C) I never said anything about national TV. I was talking about TNT on which the Suns have lost like 20 of their last 22 games. TNT has a MUCH bigger audience than NBATV. MUCH bigger. Most households don't even have NBATV. Learn the game, then post.
TNT has always been known as the magic channel. One tip-off is that it's run by elves and dragons. So, obvious theory is obvious.
The Zach Addy Theory! When he went to all the road games a couple seasons ago, we lost! Stay away Eric.
Blazers play an ugly game that is only helped by longer time outs. PHX is all about rhythm, which is only hurt by those same time outs.
