The NBA embraces there players to help kids to read and donate money and everything else.Amare is also a pretty nice guy off the court,I've heard of him teaching kids to read and to play basketball.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Ahem, its called being a bad-ass. It was pretty bad-ass when Pierce drained a 3 in Gilbert's face to win that same game where Arenas flicked off the Celtics bench. :HAHAHA: you walked right into that one Zards
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hey, at least us Wizards fans dont need fake crowd noise.</div>can someone tell me what that means
It will soon be Greg Oden. I read the article on him in the new SLAM issue and hes got to be the most humble player ive ever seen. I mean the dude even was saying hes not the best in the class of '06 lol but hes the highest rated center since Shaq.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (pjcolpitts @ May 12 2006, 10:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He doesnt play anymore, but Avery Johnson seems like a real nice guy. Sounds and looks really professional as well. I'd add Richard Jefferson to the list. His parents are missionaries and he's done a lot for the church.</div>Avery Johnson can barely speak, lol...Shaquille O'Neal definitely, always helping out the community...Richard Jefferson^..Mark Cuban..always giving money to the NBA..lol if you know what I'm talking about. (200k Fine for criticizing officials..lol)
I will say Dwyane Wade; he is always a great person to interview, he is kind and easygoing. Marcus Camby; he was a punk in New York, but in Denver he is also help out the community along with Carmelo Anthony, who is also one of the nicest guys. Charlie Villaneuva; if you go to his site, www.cv31.com it has a link to where you can help the fight against the disease he has and he has donated a lot of money towards it.
I am very surprised that no one has mentioned Lindsey Hunter in this thread. He gives a lot in the community.
Shane Battier, he built a building in Memphis for underprivleged kids, and he is great on the court, also Gilbert Arenas, I heard while he was at a Christmas Party in D.C. a few years ago, he met a 10 year old kid who's parents died in a fire, and he made him the ballboy for the team
Kyle Korver is a really nice guym the only player I've ever met. I've also heard great things about Tim Duncan and Matt Bonner.
I am supprised no one has mentioned Tim Duncan yet. He is definetly one of the nicest players in the league. And then there is D-Wade, King James, and Amare Stoudemire.
Gilbert Arenas man. He's contributes a lot to the community, Gave a Toyota to Maggie Foster, adopted a son right? Yao Ming.
Larry Hughes is the nicest/most effectionate person in the NBA IMO, I felt sorry for him when his bro died, interesting idea with the tear tatoo's for remembring him.

Tim Duncan of course. Brent Barry is also a really nice guy. I have a friend who is a ballboy for the spurs and he said that Brent Barry is the nicest, funniest, and most easy going guy on the team. I dont know if this counts, but I talked to Manu Ginobili in italian at one of the games when he first started playing for the spurs. And we had like a 2 minute conversation so that showed me he was pretty nice.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (grizz101 @ May 20 2006, 09:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Shane Battier, he built a building in Memphis for underprivleged kids, and he is great on the court, also Gilbert Arenas, I heard while he was at a Christmas Party in D.C. a few years ago, he met a 10 year old kid who's parents died in a fire, and he made him the ballboy for the team</div>yeah, there was a show on gilbert before one of their playoff games agaisnt the CAVS.
