That's funny. But I remember a short time ago, on ESPN, Bobby Knight said if he were in charge of any basketball team, mens, womens, pro, college, YMCA, whatever, that he would contact Geno Auriemma 1st.
Well why the hell didn't the Ducks go after Geno Auriemma or Pat Summit? Why didn't they go after the coach at St Mary's? I'm a huge Duck fan and Duck alum, usually I'm pretty positive on all things Ducks but this coaching search and selection was handled... ummm.... meh. We signed this guy for 7yrs? I know we can fire him before then but still that's a long contract for pretty much an unknown. This is the coach that is going to open a new arena and new era of Duck basketball? Uconn's coach would have been a better choice.
