We all know MJ was unstoppable, as are alot of superstars today are, like LeBron James. But who gave MJ alot of fits on defense? I'd say Joe Dumars. In fact, the whole 'Bad Boys' Pistons team gave MJ alot of trouble. They all helped out on guarding MJ, but Dumars was usually given the assignment to guard the Bulls' superstar. Dumars always played MJ tough during the Pistons' back-to-back championship runs, when the Bulls were in the playoffs, especially in the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals. Even if MJ would get his, his teamate Pippen would be shut down, Grant would be kept off the boards by Laimbeer, Paxson couldnt free himself to get the ball from MJ, and the others wouldnt make make much of a difference. However, the Pistons played a very aggressive and dirty defense, the refs would miss alot of fouls that the Pistons commited under the basket. But ever since then, NBA teams havent played that type of bad-ass defense, the game has changed so much that teams are allowing opposing star players to get 40 a night. Another choice would be Sidney Moncrief of the Bucks. What do you guys think?
