Is the defence the Canucks' weakest link?

The second round doesn't start until Saturday and the Canucks' defence has already been beaten up.

Kevin Bieksa has been carved, Shane O'Brien was first picked apart, then picked over, and, of course, there's Andrew Alberts who has been torched off the ice so consistently it's a shock he remains upright and breathing after all that smoke inhalation.

The three of them are widely considered the fibrous tissue which connect the Canucks to their most prominent Achilles heel. But they're not quite alone.

Many worry that Alex Edler's first-round, cocoon-like awakening was an aberration. The Sami Salo injury jokes, or fears, write themselves.
