I'm looking forward to this series. We get to start at home and will have another chance to show that we can compete in the first home game of a series. We're 3-0 vs the Spurs so we have confidence. Bayless completely owned them in December. I think Aldridge matches up favorably with Duncan. And Roy should have all the rust off his game and should be ready to battle Ginobili. We'll have our hands full, no doubt, but if we can get these first two games at home, we'll have a very good shot at returning to the WCF for the first time in 10 years. Go Blazers!!
The first time we played the Lakers this season, I came forward and said we'd win and we did. Besides, this isn't a prediction thread. I'm not predicting we'll win. I already know we will and I'm just offering a space for us all to start discussing the next series.
I don't know if this series can possibly live up to the excitement of that last one... Blazers falling behind in game 6 by 27 points, only to storm back and win it on an Andre Miller three-pointer at the buzzer. And then the Blazers blowing out the Suns in the first three quarters of game 7, and watching it all crumble in the greatest playoff collapse in NBA history as the Suns won it in overtime. And then the news that the Suns had been disqualified due to Nash being busted for steroids. Seriously...it was a series for the ages. Go Blazers!
Playing game 1 vs the spurs on may fourth would be awesome. What better birthday present could there be then seeing the blazers demolish the spurs in game 1?
TNT has a great shot of the team huddled up in the lockerroom! Guys looked focused, hope they bring it!!!!
It sucks. I really think we would've played well against the Spurs. By the way, I didn't fail. The team did.
That's a crappy attitude. Bring a ton of attention to yourself and then blame other people for you creating the thread. Good work. At least man up.
