TBS has a new comedy series called "Are we there yet", which shares the plot with the movie of the same name (with Ice Tray in it).

That movie "took place" in Portland (and it's sequel "Are we done yet?") took place in Newberg Oregon (though not filmed there).

Does anyone know if this TV series is supposed to take place in Portland?

I'm pretty sure I saw a commercial and someone was wearing a Washington jersey. I may be wrong

The only show I know that is currently filmed in Portland is "Leverage", which is a US ripoff of the BBC show "Hustle". That being said, the setting for "Leverage" is supposed to be Boston, it's just Portland is cheaper in which to film.

I had a loft that I built myself in the top floor of an old warehouse in industrial SE Portland, when the show Nowhere Man was filmed here (A one year "Everyone is out to get me" TV show on UPN that never found an audience http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112104/) they filmed the 3rd episode in my loft. I ran into a location scout trying to get into the building and my loft was exactly what he was looking for. Paid me $2,500 to use my place for 7 days and put me up in the Marriot for the week. The really strange part was that they had movers remove everything that was mine out and then put it all back again when they were done filming. Everything was exactly where it had been before they moved.

I'm sure they take pictures of where everything was before.

Yes, they have set managers that keep a list and pictures of where everything is exactly since they do so many shoots of the same scene, so all items have to be in the exact same place. They probably just had that lady or guy do that for your personal items.

I understand that, I was just surprised that they gave a shit after they were done shooting. They couldn't have put everything 80% back correctly and I would have been happy (actually they could have left everything in boxes on the loading dock and I wouldn't have cared. $2,500 and a week of free room service for me and my gf at the Mariott was great!) They couldn't have made it a better experience. Total pros! I even got to come over and watch them shoot the episode a couple of times. It's true what they say about craft services, I was amazed at the spread of food they put out for everyone. Oh and the star of the show was Bruce Greenwood, I swear he's only about 5'6" in real life.

That's fair, I was doing your wife at the Mariott while you were getting freaky with my appliances. I've got an old stove in one of my rental houses if want to mount some metal again. Just drop off your wife and I'll give you a key to the rental house and some oven mitts.

They probably had to do it 100% correct for fear of you reporting something stolen. A nice precautionary measure.

I wasn't worried, the cocoa factory and guns were hidden in the basement.

The Bolivians who were working for me appreciated the week off.

Yeah all the cameras and lights kind of clued me in that they had made TV shows before.

Oddly enough, oven mitts were the basis of HCP's first (and most common) sexual experience.

Oddly enough, oven mitts was HCP's nickname in high school.

Oddly enough, oven mitts are what the Mrs HCP calls HCP's man-jugs.
