#1. High scroing, lack defense#2. passing game, solid defense#3. slow paced, halfcourt game with really good defense#4. Fullcourt game#5. Fastbreak game, solid defense#6. inside and outside game, solid defenseWhat type of team do you want?
probably #6. As a fan, i probably wouldn't want alot of slow-paced stuff, although it is the formula for winning. #6 just seems like a well-rounded team, so i pick them.
#6. but he never specified if your offense would be good in that one. you inside guy could be mark blount and ur outside guy could be antoine walker.

Either #6 or #3. In the end, what matters is the defensive play of your team. You can score as many points as you want, but if you cant stop your opponent, you will not be a very succesfull team. I would much rather have a team like Detroit of San Antonio whom play great defense and share the wealth on the offensive end as opposed to a team like Phoenix who goes out every night simply trying to outscore the other team. In the regular season, you can get by simply by scoring as many points as you can, but when its playoff time, you need to be able to stop the other team and control the pace of the game..I think I might actually prefer #3 because it has the better defense. If your defense forces your opponent to work hard to get buckets and creates turnovers, it will improve your offensive output and you will be a more succesfull team. In the end, what matters is the defense your team plays. If you can stop people, you will be succesfull..

It was really boring to watch but what is better winning or a flashy game you don't win? True we lost to the Mavericks but we got F*cked by the referees.
I would rather have a winning team than a flashy, exciting team. Winning is entertaining and fun to watch..
I would actually want #5. A fast break team is always good for home games. It pumps up the crowd, it tires out the other team when you are conditioned to handle all the running well. Also, with a solid defense, it prevents the teams from keeping with you o the scoreboard.
Yeah but a fastbreak team usually doesnt end up being too succesfull in the playofs when the pace slows down and the games become half-court oriented offensive schemes. People dont want to risk making mistakes, so the pace slows down alot..

It wasn't really their fast break game that killed them, it was the defense. That is waht kills everyteam in the playoffs. If you do not have good defense, you won't win it all. Look at the Mavs for example. They are like #1 and they haven't even been to the NBA Finals lately.
I want a fastbreak team that plays solid defense. Defense = Fastbreak opportunities. Therefore, when you combine both, you'll get a high scoring team that will come out on top nearly every game.

I think the Texas series going on right now is the real WCF and the winner of that series will advance. Phoenix is an exception because they are truely an elite scoring team, but in the end, when they are in a tough situation and need stops, I dont know if Im comfortable with that team. I think Detroit, San Antonio and Dallas are all better teams and teams that would beat them in a seven game series..<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KMart @ May 13 2006, 03:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I want a fastbreak team that plays solid defense. You cant be relying on transition buckets to get you over the hump, because when you play a great team in the playoffs, the tempo changes and you have to be more methodical with the way you play every possesion..
6 because I want a team that can play defense and a balanced offense. I think it's the best choice for a championship team
I think #2 would be as good as #6. A good passing game team should have a very good offense (see the Kings from a few years ago) that was balanced. Plus if you add a solid D (Kings didn't have this) that would just add to it.Plus, for me, #2 is great to watch.
