Dwight's not an idiot, he's just a grumpy old man and he says things that don't jive with a lot of the pollyana-ish thinking of a lot of Blazers fans, so people write him off as a kook.

People don't agree with Dwight because he doesn't suck the nuts of Nate and KP all the time.

I just said that as a preemptive strike before HCP came in here and called him an idiot.

    :sigh:

I have long disliked Jaynes. It hurts my pride to admit he is right....but lately, he has been right frequently.

Does anyone have a serious refutation to what he said?

Agree 100% with what Jaynes has to say here.

The decisions this teams staff make are baffling.

Only that I think Batum wasn't playing because he's hurt more than they were saying.

I don't think he only played 13 mins or whatever because NM thought it best. He's hurt.

Otherwise, a few of us have been saying everything Dwight said above for almost 2 years. So No arguments otherwise.

We'll never win anything until we get

    A) A low post scorer
    B) Rid of McDillon

But, you can all continue to suck from the teet of the greatest most youngest, most bestest Olympic assistant coach of all time who's never won anything in 10 years because Kobe Bryant name checked him in the paper once.

I wonder what the people who actually have to coach in the NBA think of the job McMillan's done. Maybe they have a little more credibility than an unemployed sportswriter who knows that trashing people is a way to get attention.

Besides which, a lot of Jaynes' criticism could be directed at the players (Roy in particular). Does Phil Jackson get trashed when Kobe Bryant hogs the ball?

I bet Alvin Gentry fucking loves the job he's done.

BTW, what does Phil Jackson have to do with any of this? I can't for the life of me ever understand why some of you always play the "Yeah but Phil Jackson" card.

Are there 2 more people on the planet who have less in common than those 2 NBA coaches?

    Bloody fucking Hell.

Mcmillan is a great motivator, and making something out of nothing, he will never be able to handle high level talent or depth issues

Hence, he will never win anything of worth in the Playoffs. EVER.

My biggest gripe of the series is what seemed like a very nominal amount of adjustments during the series, both in-game and from game to game.

The rest of the things that drive me nuts (substitution patterns, shying away from hot hands, etc) are all but expected now, so those wear on me less.
