They said they want to eliminate Kreuger's joking and humour, because it'll make him more scary. That's so stupid on so many levels. The original was great. There's really nothing to add except CGI. And to add that, you can no longer have a Johnny Depp death scene.
Actually, I believe that's how Wes Craven intended for him to be. Krueger became more comedic in the sequels, which Craven didn't have much say over.
From what I've read so far it seems that the new Nightmare is painfully awful. It had potential to be a great film. Too bad. And it seems Jackie Earle Haley was very disappointing as Freddy. Very.
I went and seen this when it came out.. Now i for one am a huge fan of Freddy and there will never be another Robert Englund.. With that said This movie was really good i think Jackie Earle harley did an amazing job as Freddy and i would deff recommend this movie to others..
