THE time-honoured Mad Monday nudie run - awarded to players who can't manage a try all season - is the height of embarrassment in the rugby league world.

And although 2010 was less than a third complete, Jarryd Hayne was already feeling red-faced as he prepared for last night's grudge match against Canterbury.

For a player who'd achieved everything last year, Hayne hadn't registered a single four-pointer in his first seven outings. And until the 65th minute of an absorbing clash before almost 32,000 fans at ANZ Stadium, his duck remained in tact.

But then, in a swirl of golden boots and pumping thighs that only Hayne can produce, the duck was busted on a slashing 55m run to the tryline.

At that moment, the Hayne train was back and Parramatta on track for their third straight win.
