That's what Isaac/Suke just posted on Facebook.

It's just a matter of time before he takes a HC job, but he will certainly be missed when, not if, he leaves.

They aren't the most credible sources when it comes to the NBA, but it would not surprise me in the least if we lost Monty this summer! He will be missed!

I think they're about to talk about where they received that information.

Damn. I am happy for him, but he is so good with Nic, Pendergraph and Dante! Hope he doesn't take Bayno with him.

I hope he's the replacement for Nate. It would bum me out if he did take another job.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Is there some reason to believe that he's going to be a good/very good head coach? I'm not saying there isn't, but I'm just curious why people hold him in such high esteem.

When Nate was down and Monty took over for him as the "standing up" coach, we seemed to play really well; I think a lot of this sentiment comes from those 8 or 9 games.

Well you better give up on Nate hitting the road now. KP said in his interview off that Nate is going nowhere. So go scream at the top of your lungs and get it out of your system now....

I just know the players love him! It's a tough love thing. He's hard on 'em, but is a great teacher. During huddles he is in there with Nate drawing up plays. He is also very respected around the league from players and other coaches. I think he will be a great motivator/teacher.

I think that Spoelstra is much like Lawrence Frank, who got a bum wrap in NJ IMO. Very dedicated. Very knowledgeable of the game because he loves basketball. Considering the team he had in Miami this year, I thought they overachieved.

Used to ball with Spoelstra back in the late 80's. Cool guy!

But didn't he say he was basically continuing to implement McMillan's game plan? That was my recollection, anyway. And it seemed like he did. Not that that makes him a bad coach, but it seems a bit at odds with the pretty prevalent anti-McMillan sentiment on this forum.

I call it the "back-up QB" theory. As in, the lead guy sucks, to let's put in the back-up, because he can't be any worse.

Look at how well it worked for Minnesota when they hired Dwane Casey from Nate's Seattle staff. I'll also note that Casey is also interviewing for the Hornet job.

I thought we had a rough road trip when Nate had surgery.

Who knows if he'll be a good HC. But what we DO KNOW is that he will be missed as a Blazer. Just look at HCP's response. That's the point. I certainly don't want him to go.

Monty coached the home stand after the road trip. The angry looking white fellow coached the road trip.
