Dear Zachary: A Letter To A Son About His Father If this doesn't bring tears - lots of them - you have no soul. Just wow. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152758/
Did your husband cry when he saw the movie too? j/k ABM, sounds interesting. Did you rent it or grab it off the interwebs?
You funny, Sly. Yeah, rented the dvd. Strangely, I read about it while reading another review of a documentary I'm about to watch: talhotblond. (which, BTW, I recommend MIXUM should consider watching.)
Another gut wrenching documentary is "Telling Nicholas"....film about a young boy whose mom is missing after 9/11. follows the events in the days following. Here's a clip...prepare to cry.
Another really good Documentary is Unknown Soldier: Searching For a Father
I'm not going to click on any of those links, but this is the most gut-wrenching thread I've ever read in my miserable gut-wrenching life.
'dad, can you find a new wife? how about tomorrow?' looks like nicholas took it pretty well..... i dunno, i didnt cry in any of them *shrug* it's life - ups n downs, smiles n frowns...
Both pieces (Zachary and talhotblond) involve deception, anger, and murder. Here's a news piece regarding the talhotblond tragedy. http://abcnews.go.com/2020/marinesniper-talhotblonde-sexy-ims-love-letters/story?id=10146967
Wow, I read the spoilers in the IMDB Message Boards. I have to see this documentary now, even though I know what happens.
I watched it last night. Super tragic story, but it leaves you inspired to be a better human being at the end. Anyone who has raised or plans to raise a child should watch this.
