The New York Yankees won over the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 4-1.

This game was about “work.” It was about punching the clock. It was about given an assignment and finishing it off like a blue collar worker does. It was about C.C. Sabathia? GETTING the JOB done!!

He pitched eight “quality” innings giving up one earned run on six hits for the win. He came in and worked nine to five and punched the CLOCK! I said… he punched the clock! If you think about it, anytime a pitcher pitches eight innings and gives up only one run, it’s usually very special. C.C. Sabathia did it like it was nothing. He did it like he does it every day. He did it like we “expected” him to. He did his job then went home.

Then the Yankees turned to the offense. They had Mr. Nick Swisher get on base three times and drive in run a score a run. Then Randy Winn, who every one likes, hit a three run projectile.

This game was about having “faith” in your team. It was about hope. It was about believing. It was about assurance. Assurance that your team, the New York Yankees would take care of business in a professional style. Style that only a New York Yankee can have. It was about beating some one who brought their A game and winning. Jeremy Guthrie pitched very well but the Yankees “overcame.” They overcame a professional pitcher in major league baseball.

What did I see at the end of the game? I saw Joba Chamberlain and he was filthy! He was so filthy that the Orioles couldn’t get a hit off of him. What Joba did was dirty minded. He POLLUTED the Orioles order in the ninth. Here’s the answer to the question… No answer. They had no answer. The Orioles couldn’t touch him. He got the save and the Yankees won!

Good win for the Yanks. Though it was a game they should win.

By the way, you should tone down the sensationalism in your writing. Recapping the game is fine, but the amount of homerism is through the roof. I'm a Yankees fan but it's almost unbearable. Just a suggestion...
