No way! Why would they even consider it. He is just clutch. He doesn't put up the numbers, and he has played on good teams that get to the playoffs. He doesn't dominate the game. That would be irate if you were at the hall-of-fame and you see Micheal Jordan's plaque and then next to him Robert Horry.
Now I don't think he should get in, but let me play advocate here.I don't think the HOF is just numbers...alot of guys do get in and many different sports because of what they did, and how they played when it mattered...There are plenty of guys in the HOF that I'd trade to get Robert Horry, because I know what he brings in the playoffs.Like I said, I don't think he gets in either...but he could be brought up as a possible HOF worthy player.
He's made many clutch shots but given his circumstances he's been put in a great spot to hit game winning shots.
Hes got the rings. Hes made the big shots. But he doesnt have the credentials stat wise to get in. He'll be forever remember though as one of the most clutch.
I think he should be because if it weren't for him the Lakers may not have won the NBA finals the year he made that winning shot on the Kings and the Rockets may not have won the year he made one for them either. My point is he was a big part of those teams winning NBA titles so yes he should be in the HOF.
7 ppg is not a hue part. He was a very small part through the regular season on those teams. If he averaged like 15 ppg and had 6 championships it would be a different story here.
It's not about ppg. He should be in the Hall of Fame for being one of the best clutch shooters in NBA History. His ablitly to make winning shots made him a player that a lot of teams would have loved to have on there team. He may not have been a NBA superstar averaging more then 10 points a game but theres one thing he did always do and that's help his team win the games. He always seemed to step up in the big games and that is why he has my vote for the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Dont give me that bulshit. To be in the HOF you have to have very good statistics, you should be dominate in your era and you should have to play well the whole regular season. Horry has done none of those things and averaged 7 ppg. That is not HOF worthy.
Now CB4, there are tons of players that have good stats in the HOF...but alot of them didn't dominate their era...Once again, I don't think he should be in, but it definately could be debated.

no way is he a HOFer. Clutch is overrated anyway, and the whole dynasty lakers team got really overrated as individuals just because the whole picture fit. Don't get me wrong, Horry is a great player, but no way does he deserve to go into the HOF.
He's not even an All-Star. And not all SUPERSTARS make it to the HOF. Only the legends. For example, I think, Vince Carter is a SuperStar right now, but i think imo he will not make the HOF unless something changes in his next 7-8 years of his career.

LOL~No way. I can understand where you are coming from though it is not too ridiculous, but now-a-days everything is about stats. All-stars, MVPs, HOF its all about stats.Horry is by no means a bad player, he's one of the most clutch shooters in playoff history and he's been the key to alot of championship teams. I myself find it VERY impressive that he's won 6 rings with different teams. Hall of Fame does not have to be only about stats, but ACCOMPLISHMENTS. Just because he did not score alot did not mean he had a bad career in any means, the dude has more than a handful of rings to put on his fingers and not many players can say that.
