That last paragraph means nothing to me. I wouldn't be surprised by anything that man does.

Baron... is this making you laugh, cry, or both?

This seems perplexing to me. How much of a raise does a guy get when he's on an 8 year contract and already making more than probably any coach in the NCAA. Is Cal pushing this, or is UK just ultra nervous?

    I don't get it

    I believe it's called leverage.

He coaches Derrick Rose. He's good friends with Lebron. He has the same agent as Dwayne Wade. He sucked in New Jersey. I think the first 3 outweigh the last. Besides, you and I could win 50+ games with Rose and one of the guys. Sounds like a win-win for all parties (minus the University of Kentucky).

If I were the University of Kentucky, I'd be polishing up a shortlist of replacements. If Calipari is going to jerk them around after one year, then then one way or another he'll be gone in a couple years.

He's denied wanting to coach in Chicago (possible smokescreen?) Also Phil Jackson is interested in Chicago either. I heard on the radio Lawrence Frank is on the short list.

I figure as a UK fan I'd better get used to this again. With Pitino it was an every year thing until it finally happened. Will Cal leave UK? No, I don't think so. If he did the entire Big Blue Nation would let out a roar that could be heard around the world.
