I'm with you. Plus I don't think it will take that much to move up to a lotto pick this year as compared to earlier years. Top 2 picks will be hard to get. Past that, not so hard.

But how do you propose we do that? What do we realistically have that someone with the #3 pick is going to take for Cousins? And that we'd give up for him. Why would a team getting the #3 pick take Aldridge for him?

Cousins is Rasheed without Rasheed's basketball ability or IQ. Trading either LMA or Greg for that future screw-up would be a fireable offense.

I am surprised you made this statement to be honest.

He'd be a high-risk, high-reward pick for sure ... which is why it might even be possible to move up and grab him if you found a willing trade partner.

But I think you undersell just how talented he is/was and his upside, he seems more Amare' than Sheed if you ask me.

But here's part of his report from draftexpress just in case you didn't get to watch him much and want to know what the scouting world thinks of him

Maybe this team needs a little bit of 'crazy' or at least can endure it?

I wouldn't move Oden or Aldridge for Cousins, either. Not even close.

Nic and Martell have it covered.

And we could get Travis back.

Your dead on we need a "scoring small forward," But we don't need a starter, we need someone to come off the bench to spark the offense and keep us moving. I'll leave it up to KP but if all else fails Trout-Law can fit that bill.

Mike Miller. Like Outlaw, except he's a true veteran, passes and shoots around 50% from the field overall.

Kyle Korver off the bench, Batum is the starter for the next 10+ years

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I wouldn't mind Mike Miller as a reserve (though definitely not for the entire MLE), but the main difference between him and Outlaw is that Miller can't create his own shot at this point in his career like Outlaw can.

I wouldn't give him the full MLE either (maybe 4.5 million for three years?) and despite his inability to create his own shot, I'm fine with that, I'd let Brandon and Andre try to create one for him.

Portland has a scoring SF in Batum. What it doesn't have is an offense to take advantge of one. Portland's offense is designed to spread the floor and let Brandon create. If there were any motion at all, a SF would be used more. Given the same opportunity that other SF's are given, Batum could average close to 20 a night.

this team needs more "scorers" period....not just at SF....

Actually, this team needs a better offense....the "iso" offense is absolutely pathetic....

Your lack of reading comprehension skills are not my problem.

LA, Greg, and picks to net a foul-plagued big who can't shoot FTs and doesn't have range? What fucking stupid idea. I'm confused as to where my reading comprehension factors into the equation.
