Kirk Hinrich got 9 votes as well. No mention of Roy, Bayless, Miller or Blake. Maybe there was an opportunity there? :stirthepot:

I'd like to see Oden/LMA/Camby/Batum all get some defensive votes next year.

What a sham. Kome did nothing to deserve that first team all defensive team nod this year. Or in the past few years.

You're crazy. Kobe is one of the best on the ball defenders in the game. I don't know his stats, but when he wants to get up in a players chest and lock him down he can!

He doesn't really want to very often.

Which makes him even more impressive. You may not like the Lakers or him, but you have to respect a player and what he brings on the court.

Yep. Not actually trying to play D even if he has the talent, and then getting the rewards for it anyway is really impressive.:rolleyes2:

Is the "All-defense" team supposed to be comprised of players that consistently play great defense, or comprised of players that sometimes play great defense but have the capability to do it more often?

Camby is terribly overrated as a defender.

He's a good off the ball shot blocker.. but he is a poor 1 on 1 defender. He had no answer for Amare in the playoffs.

Amare abused him. got to the rim at will. We had no choice but to double - which led to Phoenix getting wide open 3's all series long.

If Camby was a 1st team defensive player - he'd be able to at least force Amare into some tough shots 1 on 1. That Never happened.

Well I definitely disagree with that. I saw plenty of times where Camby forced a tough shot, or made Amare settle for an outside shot. Fact is though, Amare can score on anyone, so holding that against Camby seems ridiculous to me. Amare could put pts on Dwight howard if he wanted to. Amare is a beast.

Hinrich and his 11.4 PER would be a bargain at his contract. Throw in his 107 Drtg, and you have a guy living on the rep of what he used to be.
