For two years, Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess has been easy to spot at the team's facility because of those very qualities. So this was nothing unusual. But it wasn't Bess. ``My dreadlocks are a little bit longer,'' said Ryan Grice-Mullen, who signed with Miami in March after 1 ½ years in the Canadian Football League. As if the Dolphins weren't fortunate enough to find a gem like Bess in 2008 as an undrafted free agent, they are now considering the possibility that they might have discovered his stunt double. Just how similar are Grice-Mullen and Bess? While they played college football together at Hawaii, Grice-Mullen's own mother had to begin developing detailed ways to distinguish one from the other if she couldn't see their jersey numbers. ``You know how I tell them apart?'' said his mother, Sheila Pinkney. ``Their legs. Davone has big thighs. And Ryan crosses his feet on the sideline. If he's getting a breather, he crosses his feet. That's how I can keep an eye on him.'' Bess and Grice-Mullen, two free spirits with eerily similar personalities, have become such kindred spirits away from the field that Pinkney said she considers Bess to be more like a son than a friend.
