In his next series, Boesch lined a double off the rightfield wall at Comerica Park to drive in the winning run against the Twins. The next day, after the Tigers took the rubber game of the series, I asked Twins veteran hitter Michael Cuddyer what he thought of Tigers rookies Austin Jackson and Scott Sizemore. Cuddyer praised them. Then he added: "I was impressed with Boesch, too. I was impressed with his swing. He wasn't scared, and he wasn't passive.
