Note to UFC welterweights: don't try to knee Koscheck when he is down. Twice in two fights Koscheck has nearly been kneed in the face while prone and twice he has milked it to his advantage, completely shifting the momentum of the fight in his favour. Now, far be it from me to accuse Koscheck of cheating when it is his opponent (both times) trying to do something illegal--but it seems if you give Kos any reason to complain and roll around, he'll take it. Daley CLEARLY missed him tonight but Kos went full drama with the ref and nearly got a point taken from Daley in the process.
If he missed, Why was there blood near his eye? Yes I will admit that he over-sell it, but It did make contact. Kinda sad that Daley had to sucker punch Koz, a bad ending to a decent fight.
^ They were fighting, I don't know if he was cut before that incident... maybe he wasn't, I'll have to watch again. Daley says he didn't hear the bell... bull.
Fuck Daley. Fucking ***got. Hope he fucking dies. I swear to God, cheap shots like that are uncalled for. I hope he gets fucking cancer and dies a slow fucking death. Awesome night for Shogun. I like both fighters, had a feeling Shogun would win. I'd like to see a Rampage/Shogun II. I don't think Shogun will hold the belt for long. The LHW belts seems to be sleeping around with fighters often. Again, Fuck Daley. I wanted him to win, too. Fucking retard. Kimbo, good bye. Should have went to boxing.
Rua upends Machida in rematch This time, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua made sure the judges were not involved. Rua knocked out the previously unbeaten Lyoto Machida 3 minutes, 35 seconds into the first round to capture the light heavyweight championship at UFC 113 "Machida vs. Shogun 2" on Saturday at the Bell Centre in Montreal. At 28, Rua again sits atop the 205-pound heap. For many, it will be remembered as a night when justice was served. Machida took a controversial unanimous decision from Rua at UFC 104 in October. Shogun, who battered the Shotokan karate savant with kicks to the leg and body the first time the two met, waited seven months for his shot at redemption, and he made the most of it. http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/news/story?id=5174238
im a little disspointed and sad that machida loss the way he did.. im sure he is going to bounce back from this and learn from it. big props for shogun though for putting the fight to machida. on the sidenote.. daley is a piece of shit for doing what he did to kos.. but kos is a little bitch as well for always faking.
Kos was bleeding after the knee, I'm pretty sure it grazed him. It doesn't take much to get cut and a little slice owuld have been just enough to cut him. I definitely think he sold it, but I also think he did really get kneed, there was blood. Also, the Johnson knee wasn't what poked him in the eye, the replays never went back far enough to show Johnsons hand accidentally hit him in the eye, and then he delivered the knee. So I don't think Kos was faking that one at all.
The UFC barely shows any fighter entrances nowadays but Tom LOLr came out to "Living in America" from Rocky IV complete with Apollo Creed-style clothing and mannerisms. Guess he forgot Apollo got murdered in that fight--literally.
Shogun took that fight and that was fucking awesome to see. Daley is re-tard to the fullest. Dana White is doing the right thing, but I don't know if I would never let him back in the UFC. Suspend his ass for a while.
Re: UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun 2 (May 8th) They both should have been cut after that fight. Terrible. Awesome gameplan by Rua. Machida is a great striker but doesn't have great one-hit KO power like a lot of the elite guys in the division. Seemed like he wanted to close the distance Machida makes after he strikes and rush him a little bit and that gamble seemed to pay off. On the hit that knocked Machida down he nailed him before he could even retreat and did great to jump into the full mount and pummel him. Gotta love the aggressiveness by Shogun and gotta love the volatility of the LHW division. Daley looks like a huge pussy going after Koscheck after the bell because he couldn't do shit during the fight. I really liked him before that. Seems like he cooled down a lot since the fight and he appears to be sincere in his apology and realizes he fucked up. Wouldn't mind seeing him fight again for Strikeforce/DREAM.
