Dana just announced in the press conference that Paul Daley will never fight in UFC ever again and that he will not tolerate any fighter he doesn't care how good they are..

That was a sucker punch. He seeked him out after the bell.

Zero class move by Daley. Dana can't criticize Strikeforce for the brawl after the bell then condone Daley's actions in any way.

Stupid, stupid stunt. UFC wouldn't have cut him just for losing that fight, so he just threw away a big chunk of change. I'm sure Kos' tactics frustrated him, but c'mon!

Oh wow. I was really drunk. Sorry if that offended anybody.

Obviously I don't mean that, but I hope he never fights for a big organization again.

Koscheck making claims that Daley was greasy, too.

 I am amazed at the number of people over on rabid-dog that think Daley getting fired is some huge injustice.

I know MMA fighters get punched/dropped on their heads sometimes, but after the Strikeforce fiasco, how could anyone have been dumb enough to think they could get away with that sort of stunt?

I agree with him being cut although I think it was a little harsh., Maybe a 12 month suspension?

Saying he'll never fight again in the UFC is yet again another over the top Dana reaction again.

why? because this happens in all the major sports, hell Ron Artest went into the stands after a paying customer and he is still playing basketball after serving a suspension and he still gets paid more than any 10 UFC fighters combined. Now you can see how having a Union helps these guys.

Daley was out of line for sure and deserves to be punished, but to act like this is totally unusual behavior in pro sports in naive. Guys get crosschecked and decked out of the blue all the time in Hockey AFTER the whilstle has blown.

The big issue is that MMA is trying to be accepted as a professional sport and not some underground fighting club so it does hurt with the general public perception because you just know most media outlets will play it up and ignore the fact that cheap shots happen in all other sports where there is contact too.

If they're gonna cut Sobral for what he did, then they should show consistency with Daley. I applaud this move.

Good point. Sobral 's actions were less likely to result in an injury than Daley's.

Seriously? Sobral could have killed him depending on how long he held on.

Both were bush league moves, both deserved to be cut. Daley just fucked himself big time.

Sobral only held it for an extra second or two. In the early days of Pride, some people (including the Gracies) were infamous for doing that. No one ever got hurt - it was a humiliation move. Daley was trying to throw that sucker punch full force to the face.

They were both douche moves - but my point was that you can't fire Sobral and let Daley off the hook. If what Sobral did is the benchmark, then Daley deserved to be fired.

I agree with you, I just don't think saying what Sobral did was less likely to hurt him is a smart thing to say.
