"The NHL is supposed to be cracking down on blindside hits to the head. At least that's what Detroit Red Wings forward Johan Franzen thought. Franzen was upset that San Jose defenseman Douglas Murray, his Swedish Olympic teammate, wasn't penalized for his shoulder check to the head with about 13 minutes remaining in Saturday's game. "I haven't seen (the replay), but he sure didn't come from in front of me, he came from the side and it was a late hit, it was blind side and to the head,'' Franzen said. "That's the memo I got two months ago, that they're trying to take that away." http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2010/05/red_wings_johan_franzen_upset.html
