We won 2 games, one without our 2-time All-NBA player, and one with him hobbling around the court. Batum also could barely play, and we were missing our 23 PER center.

    I'm a positive thinker, I guess.

Get back to berating Nate, kpee, and everybody else associated with this franchise.

No, get rid of them all and try and be more like the Thunder. The Thunder are the future and the Blazers are old news, will probably have to dismantle the roster in a couple years. The Thunder know how to win.

The Blazers can't do anything right, we hate them.

As I asked in another thread:

If Kerr can build that kind of a juggernaut with an older core and a smaller budget to work with - what the heck is KP's excuse? :devilwink:

On a slightly more serious note, the Suns are often described as having one of the top training/medical staffs in the league. Their old guys keep rolling, while the Blazers' young guys keep limping. I have trouble believing that is solely dumb luck.

They're not afraid to make moves, or to give up on moves--Shawn Marion, Shaq, trying to trade Amare. Pritchard is paralyzed by lazy inertia and fear of errors.

The Blazers could have waxed the Spurs in the 2nd round if we figured out that leaving open perimeter shooters wide open was a recipe for disaster in round 1.

Yep, Pritchard is paralyzed. That is how the Blazers got Roy, Aldridge, Rodriguez, Fernandez, Miller, Batum, Camby.

I guess it's tough when you are not part of the reality based community.

BTW, how many playoff games did the Thunder win? With a healthy team?

It should be noted, that the Steve Kerr led Suns missed the playoffs last season and haven't been to the WCF's since 2006.

....It's taken a lot of trial by error and failure in the earlier rounds of the playoffs to get them to this point, and they are still 8 wins from a championship. I give the Suns credit and think this years version is borderlining on juggernaut, but this has been several years in the making. With the collective age of the teams key players, I'm also not sure that they will have many more runs left in them

I get the Pritchard/Kerr comparison may have been a little toungue and cheek, but you know there are several people on this board that may actually feel like Kerr is the better GM.

Seeing the Suns clobber the Spurs was bitter sweet for me.

Sweet: Because it showed that we really could be a force in this league when we get everybody healthy. There is no doubt in my mind that we would have beat the Suns with a healthy roster.

Bitter: Because we were injured and not able to show what we can really do. This could have been a year of reaching the WCF, but instead, again, we have to "wait until next year".

Given that three months ago the Suns were on the verge of trading Stoudemire and blowing off the rest of the season to begin rebuilding, I'd say things have worked out pretty well for them. While a lot of people around here seem to be constantly in full-blame mode against KP for not building the perfect team, there should be some recognition that injuries and good or bad fortune have as much to do with winning a title as anything.
