I doubt that Marcus Williams will go at 4. The Hawks do need a guard but I think they're going to forego drafting one and go after Mike James in the FA market, which makes sense for them. I think theyll go with Bargnani. As for the Celtics at 7, if they dont deal away the pick, I'm 100% sure theyll draft either Randy Foye or Marcus Williams. They dont have much behind Delonte at the PG position, and with a pick this high in the draft I think now is their chance to cash in and try to get the future Bob Cousy (by that I meant like, franchise PG, because obviously Coos was a once in a few decades player. neither of these guys will be as good as Coos was).
And why do you think that??? because thtas what nbadraft.net thinks??? Why the hell would the hawks draft another pf. They already have enough. They have Al Harrington, Marvin Williams, and Zaza Pachulia. They need a true point guard, and thats what Marcus Williams is. I mean Salim Stoudamie and Josh Childress both averaged under 2 apg and Tyronn Lue averaged 3 a game. Their best passer this year was Joe Johnson and he's not even a pg. Marcus Williams is a great passer and will get the Hawks the assists they need.

Personally I didnt think hed go that high either, but the Hawks need a pg and hes definetly better than Farmar or RondoThe reason I have them taking Bargani is just to have more options at the 4 and 5 spot. Bargani could easily play center instead and he is big enough to. Plus if they do trade KG then he could be a great replacementAs for Cedric Simmons, nbadraft.net has him going 10th, but i donbt agree w/ that, but I thought hed be a good fit in the hornets to help them in their front court

I think theyll get Bargnani because lets face it, the Hawks havent been the smartest drafting team. Theyre not really stocked there. Zaza is more of a center, and Williams is more of a wing player. Harrington is a good PF, but I'm not sure why, but I get the feeling that he wont be there much longer. Bargnani will be the best player left on the board at that particular point in the draft. He's also a year or two away because of foreign contracts and sh*t like that, and allowing him a little time to learn under a solid offensive PF in Harrington would make sense, as I see him developing into more of a Mehmet/Raef LaFrentz type offensive PF, where they stretch a big guy out from under the hoop. I do think they will end up taking a PG in the 2nd round though. Maybe Daniel Gibson, Quincy Douby, Gerry McNamera, Kyle Lowry, Dee Brown, or maybe even Guillermo Diaz if they want a project. Those guys arent too far off from Williams, and I think that if they were smart they'd take a small hit in the PG department so they can get a great future player in Bargnani. Plus Williams has attitude problems, and he's very cocky, so I'm not sure if he will fit in on a young team like Atlanta.
Yeah but the Hawks need a pg way more than they need another big man. Marcus Williams will bring them a lot of things they need. I think they might trade down for a lower pick once we get closer to draft day. BTW im not being defensive, its just I know a lot of people wont agree w/ marcus williams going that high and im stating why i think so. If I sounded pissed, I wasn't, I was just saying why they need williams more than Bargani.
this is actually a very solid mock draft. I'm not going to argue ATL's pick, bc i think Williams is their second option.I would switch Carney and O'Bryant.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ May 14 2006, 02:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Here are some mistakes:Marcus Williams wont go that highTWolves have KG. Bargnani would actually be a pretty good fit.
Pecherov is way too high, I just don't see him going that high to New Orleans of all teams that want NBA ready guys. The Sonics don't need more centers and will pick a wing player.Morrison too Charlotte makes no sense (I have brought this up before).I agree with the Hawks pick because this draft is so weak picking Williams 4th isn't a big deal.
Why would the Sonics pick a wing player when they have Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis??? That makes no sense.
bc, their only back-up is Damien Wilkens, and they have Robert Swift, Johan Petro, Nick Collison, Mikki Moore. They don't need any more decent post players. Carney is a perfect fit.
