Purdue's chance to compete for the 2011 national title is now a high possibility after JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore informed coach Matt Painter Saturday that they would return for their senior season.

Painter said in a text message that they would be going back to school. The NCAA's deadline to withdraw from the NBA draft is at 5 p.m. ET Saturday.

Johnson and Moore will join Robbie Hummel on next year's likely Big Ten favorite.

Hummel is recovering from an ACL surgery. All three have been members of an all-conference team at some point in their careers. The three give the Boilermakers a rare trio of elite seniors at a power six conference school in this early entry era.

Great news for Purdue. They should easily be a preseason top 3.

One would think so, I hope Hummel comes back ready, because they just seemed absurdly lost without him.

Purdue will be awesome next year. Hummel coming back was huge for them.

I'm changing my opinion. That team has no bench. Their first 5 will be filthy. If they get in any foul trouble, they're toast. Plus I forgot Kramer graduated. That's huge in the defensive end. They still have no side inside past Johnson and (sort of) Hummel.
