Former New Jersey Nets coach Lawrence Frank and Portland Trail Blazers assistant Monty Williams are interviewing for the New Orleans Hornets’ coaching job on Tuesday, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Frank met with Hornets GM Jeff Bower on Tuesday morning in New Orleans. Williams had a meeting set with officials in the afternoon.

Frank was 225-241 in six-plus seasons with the Nets, including two Atlantic Division titles and three trips to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Frank is also considered a strong candidate with the Chicago Bulls.

Williams is considered one of the league’s top young assistants and has also interviewed for the Philadelphia 76ers’ opening.
