If we're going by current performance as opposed to potential value, I'd bump up both Batum and Bayless one notch each, add Miller (!) to Main Cog, and drop Oden to Wannabe. Also, I love the guy's game with all my heart, but I can't help but think that Joel's injuries have put him in the Has-Been category for now. I hope he comes back and proves me wrong.
I'd say Joel is a has-been after those injuries and he's already 32 now. I'd also put Batum as a main cog
Assuming Greg and Joel are done, and Andre and Marcus have only a year or 2 left, I'd keep it simple. Keepers - Brandon, Nic, LaMarcus, Rudy, Martell, Jerryd, DC, JP Needs - 2PG's, 2C's, 3BPA's Trade the others.
I had a thought about starting a thread similar to this but it was more or less based on a three tiered system for each player: Value to the team as a player, perceived value (or trade value) to another team, and difficulty in replacing that player -- High, moderate and low respectively. Regardless, I tend to see it this way: Star: Roy, Oden (healthy), this year's 22nd pick wink Cog: Batum, Miller, Aldridge, Camby Journeyman/Yeoman: Dante, Martell, Bayless (on a good day), Joel (unlikely) Wannabe: Bayless (on a bad day), Oden (hurt), Rudy (pretty much all the time), Pendergraph Has been: Juwan, Joel (likely) Never gonna be/Mr. Irrelevant: Diener, Mills
Mine is pretty much the same, though I'd upgrade "Bayless (on a good day)" to Cog and "Bayless (on a bad day)" to Journeyman The draft pick is currently a "Wanna-be" pending further information.
