Wow. Dirk was just abbusing his Spurs foes yesterday. Whenever someone tried to control him from sinking the jumper he simply ran past them and went inside the lane for a foul. He finished the night with 21 FTM. Wow that is impressive for a guy who is only a shooter right? Well no. Dirk isnt only a shooter. He is such a dangerous player. Maybe the most versatile scorer in the NBA. Maybe the hardest player to guard in the NBA. He can set up by the perimeter and if his defender isnt checking him he can nail down the shot. But if his defender is all over him he can simply waltz down the lane with such grace and finesse that Ben Wallace can hardly stop that. You can credit this to Avery Johnson as well. Avery really turned the Mavs squad from a 3 point shooting team to an attacking and all around offensive team. Anyway thats really all I can say rather than Wow Im impressed. On a side note, Harris really impressed me as well. That dude kept on attacking the rim and getting lay ups that after a while I thought I was experiencing a serious case of deja vu. Congrats on having the edge on the Spurs. My advice: Dont look back. I am cheering for you guys to pull past the Spurs and make the WCF. Because 1)You guys bring a fresh new style to the NBA and watching you guys' play isnt nearly as painful as watching pain dry. Which is something I might rather do than watch the Spurs vs. Pistons again. 2) I am sick of dynasties. Hopefully we can have some fresh faces in this years Finals.I hope to see a Suns vs. Mavs series. Can you guys imagine how great that would be?Bye until your next win.
See, and people call us homers for propping up Dirk so much...he's so versatile, and the most dangerous matchup problem in the NBA...even if Bron and Kobe might be better players.
If the team starts Harris next season and Harris can learn to assist more and make the 17 foot jumper consistency, Dirk could seriously average something like 28 PPG, mixing the three-point shots and perimeter shots with driving. So I think Dirk will be successful going to the line 10-15 times per game next season while shooting the ball considerably less from the field.Ynahimean?Dirk could be All-Star STARTER with that stuff.
Yeah, but KG is really starting to slip with his struggling Wolves, and Tim Duncan just might not get there.Dirk has been really good. I think he deserves to seriously start.
Yeah Dallas can hurt you in so many ways now that Devin Harris is starting. With Terry as the point guard the mavs struggled with penetration and the spurs shut down the perimeter and force you to attack the rim. Everyone on the mavs team was attacking the rim. That is why they got 50 free throws. Dirk grabbing rebounds over Bowen was huge.

Yeah, but then again, if Dirk goes on to win titles and Finals MVPs (HOPEFULLY ) and never start an All-Star Game, Dirk will get some bragging rights in that, as well.
