Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
seriously... WOW you are pretty fucking rude. if you didn't notice the whole fucking state of Oregon is homogeneous.
I'm not saying I"m being repressed. I would like to point out the irony here though. Just a week ago there were the students who were told to turn their shirts inside out to avoid violence. Half the posters were pissed about it because it's freedom of speech. The other half wanted to keep the peace. Now suddenly the freedom of speech people want to keep the students from starting fights. and the peace people want freedom of speech.
It's awesome how people can frame the "Truth" as any arguments against it being null and void. Your "three steps" are totally bullshit. Ed O.
I skimmed it. It doesn't take long to see (a) they redefined "zoo" to make it seem worse than it is, and (b) is so smugly circular and self-congratulatorily long-winded that no one who is not already in total agreement that white people are bad is going to bother doing any more than skim it. I did not read the comments, because I don't think that I will be able to get much value from comments on a blog that seems to worthless to me. As for me, I get asked "what are you?" on a pretty regular basis (both about my sexuality (hah!) and my race). Because my mother was adopted and I am totally ignorant about the racial composition of my maternal grandparents: I have no idea. I might be half-jewish. I might be an octoroon. I could be half Native American. I'm not very worried about it, because it doesn't change who I am... but I find it hilarious that people attack me (and others on the thread) who don't agree that Arizona is racist as being biased because we're white. Ed O.
Racists say the alphabet in this order: "A B C D E F G..." Ah-ha! You said the alphabet in that order, so you're racist. ... It's just silly that so many people have automatic defenses built in that make any questioning of racism racist by definition. Your "three steps" is a great example of that and, in my opinion, why so many reasonable people are taking racism less seriously than they should. Ed O.
