Wizards VS BullsGilbert Arenas vs Ben Gordon (the go-to-guys of their team, each of them are great shooters and performers in the 4th)Caron Butler VS Luol Deng (two of the rising SFs in this league, both hard-nosed defenders)Brendan Haywood VS Tyson Chandler (and these two just hate each other)This is going to be good, assuming if all of these players stay with their team.

raptors vs magic will develop into a good rivalry imo.only 2 teams in the east where the franchise cornerstones are young big men, both teams are on or close to the same level in their respective rebuilds, howard could be an allstar by next year, kid is a beast. bosh is a proven offensive force. both will keep getting better.the mavericks vs spurs matchup should be good for a couple seasons too.
Personally, I will say that "rivalries" are a joke nowadays in the NBA. The main reason being that the league has not allowed rivalries due to the way they call pussy pushes. Back in the 80's and 90's where rivalries actually existed, the refs and the NBA allowed it. There was physical plays, their were knockdowns, people gettin in each others faces, maybe a few players get involved in a small argument/tussle. That's a rivalry. Now, if you blow on Tim Duncan's shoulder it's a foul and if you swear at someone its a technical. That's BS man. They need to lighten up and allow the physicalness and rivalries to happen. It brings out the best in the players and it it also better for the fans and media.Nowadays, every so called "rivalry" is merely a 1-on-1 fued, like Kobe/Bell. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. And I think that's BS and I also think David Stern is an idiot and has not done a great job with this league. And on top of that, everyone hates him and every damn arena he speak in he gets booed by 90% of the fans. Pathetic.
With the way FA is along with how their is a lack of intensity during the regular season, I don't see any real rivalries in the near future.

I was responding to TheAnalyst when he said Delonte is the Celtics leader of the future. But as long as Paul Pierce is on the team, he's the leader.

None of those make sense...and it's Tyrus Thomas and LaMarcus Aldridge.
Considering the Pistons are an old team, and won't be that good for that much longer, and the Magic are a young team, that still has to prove itself, before we can even say they are going to be a good team to have rivalries with. And I still like the the 3 Texas teams mathching up...especially SA/Dal...as both coaches know each other so well, as this series proved.
