Re: This year's bad seed. He put up 19pts, 12pts and 20pts in their tourney games and was impressive.
Re: This year's bad seed. and 8 points against AlbanyHe also had 6 TO's against Washinton.Brandon Roy isn't exactley a defensive presence on the court, so he should've destroyed him.

He's going to have to create for himself if he wants to score. He doesn't really have good handles at all, so creating for himself might be an issue. He's a slasher, so once he gets by his defender he will be able to dunk the ball, but his problem is, I dont think he will get past his defender. He'll be playing against people just as athletic, and bigger, and stronger than he is. I just dont see him scoring much his first couple years, until he bulks up, and develops a long rang shot. But I do love his potential, he has the potential to be an all-star for many years to come.</div>He has range out to the nba 3, and he is more than capable of creating. He does have good handles, and he has the quickness to create for himself. He is more athletic than the average nba player, and he has good enough ballhandling to get past his man. Plus, he is big and athletic enough to rise above his defender to get a good look. He can do that bc of his athleticism and midrange. You're just hating.
Re: This year's bad seed. Thats a joke. He does not have range. He does not have handles. He doesn't have the quickness to get past a majority of the people in the league. He shot 31% from College 3, let's think how he'll do in the NBA 3, maybe 15% if hes lucky.
Re: This year's bad seed. LOL his range ill admit is questionable, but other than that your wrong. Rudy Gay does have good handles and he is very quick. Rudy Gay overall has what it takes to play in this league. I mean people didnt have such high expectations of him for no reason. This is a player that has the chance to be special.

I've been looking at stats, and he's finally attempting more outside shots, especially 3's. He hasn't been shooting all that great since he's introducing himself to it a little more, but he'll be shooting a high percentage in jump shots in the years to come.

Half the guys he'll get past with his quickness, the other half he will be shut down when trying to go past them. Atleast last year he didnt have good handles. I was watching a UCONN vs Syracuse game, and he was on the fastbreak, and he dribbled the ball off his foot :thumbdn1: I realize he has the chance to be special. He has the chance to be a superstar, and he has all the tools. He needs to polish his all-around game though.
Re: This year's bad seed. Honestly, I think Gay will be a solid but not great player in the league. I think they guy who is going to be the bust is Tyrus Thomas, as much as I love him. If this kid would stay in school, he'd be the reincarnate of Amare Stoudemire, but with his game still so raw and so much potential, right now hes more of a Tyson Chandler or Stromile Swift, both of whom are role players in the league at best. Tyrus should've stayed in school, and Gay probably should've as well. I may be wrong, but I think the team that picks Thomas is making a mistake, even though he has so much potential, he needs to be in a position where it can be realized.
Re: This year's bad seed. i think rudy gay will kill it but i cant shake the thought of darius miles everytime rudy gay comes up in discussion. if he gets drafted to the right team he'll be alright. i think the main problem is alot of people see star potential that he himself doesnt see.hype is a muthafucka.patrick o'bryant comes to mind when thinking of "could be" busts. he can rebound and block, his height and length are very impressive but he played in a relatively weak and small conference. i think he'll struggle his first few years and once teams come to terms with what he can and cant do he'll be a solid defensive role player for someone.

Re: This year's bad seed. I don't really fall for the, 'should have stayed in school' line. Guys can either play or they can't, Tyrus Thomas is a tough guy and going to the NBA where they have the best teachers and players can help him more than playing at LSU for another season. I think Rudy Gay is going to shock a lot of people.
Re: This year's bad seed. I am a gay-lover.I just don't think he'll be anything more than a average player with a couple highlight dunks for his first 1-2 years.
