Former Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was released from the infield care center on Sunday afternoon at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He crashed his No. 4 Panther Racing car when exiting Turn 4 during practice. The 2005 champion will be checked and re-evaluated for bruising in his right foot.
