If the Knicks do indeed buy out Larry Brown, would you want the Sixers to pursue him? I know I certainly would. He is exactly the type of coach we need, and I'm sure he and Iverson wouldn't have nearly the same tumultuous relationship that they shared in the past. He would be able to turn this team into a better defensive team than we were last season, and quite possibly elevate this team to one of the second-tier team's in the East (i.e. Cleveland, NJ, Washington).Maurice Cheeks could become Brown's lead assistant, similar to what Herb Brown did in New York when Brown was hired, and then take over when Brown decides to leave or retire. Larry has spoken highly of a number of our players including Iverson, Iguodala, Korver, Dalembert and Hunter. It would be a great sentimental return for the journeyman coach to return to the city where he had his longest tenure as head coach, and coach the one player who provided the biggest challenge for him as a head coach, and vice-versa.Thoughts?

Interesting idea. Like a Phil Jackson with the Lakers situation. I wouldnt trust him to be here. Hes old, has health problems, and will probably leave us before we can do something great. And I would feel bad for Mo. Hes only been head coach for 1 season. It would be cold to demote him to assistant.

    Maybe, I personally don't think Maurice is a great coach. He's a good people's man, but i don't think a good coach.

I really do hope so. If Larry Brown comes back to Philadelphia, the whole team will turn around. Also, AI will do a lot better.

I would love it if Larry Brown came back to coach the Sixers. I think him, and AI now understand each other unlike when AI was younger. It would be great since Larry Brown is all about D, and that's our major problem. I think Larry can help us fix our D problems. He knows what players are needed around AI so it would help a lot. But of course our stupid GM Billy King would still have to listen to Larry Brown, and bring in the guys Larry asks for.Bottom line the chances of Larry Brown coming back to Philly are very small. But would I like him to come back to coach the Sixers? With out a dought in my mind I would like for him to come back to coach the Sixers.
