    - Arsenal will move for £12m-rated Lyon and France keeper Hugo Lloris, but could turn to Shakhtar Donetsk keeper Andriy Piyatov.
    - Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas could be Barcelona bound, with the Spanish champions officially approaching the Gunners with a bid that involves Yaya Toure moving the other way in part exchange.
    - And Arsenal are also set to confirm the signing of Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh after the 26-year-old Morocco international arrived in London on Monday to finalise the terms of his deal.
    - But the Gunners have had a £14m offer for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina rejected and manager Arsene Wenger could now turn his attentions to Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon.

If we lose Fabreags, we better be getting at least 55 million.

    - Arsenal defender Sol Campbell wants to remain with the Gunners after returning to his old club on a short-term deal in January, but admits approaches from Celtic are flattering. "I worked very hard to get back to my best and to play in the Champions League again, and I would love the opportunity to continue at Arsenal," Campbell said.
    - Tottenham have joined Arsenal in the chase for Dynamo Kiev's Senegalese defender Pape Diakhate.

If we received a 70m+ bid I'd let him go (assuming I was manager).

    - However, the Catalan side's hopes of luring Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal to the Nou Camp could be hit by Yaya Toure's reluctance to move in the opposite direction. The Ivory Coast midfielder is said to be attracting the interest of Manchester City.
    - Barca have decided they will not pay more than £30m for Fabregas, which could also put the deal at risk.
    - Arsenal are looking for £80m before they allow their talismanic skipper to return to his former club.
    - Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is actually hopeful of persuading midfielder Fabregas to stay for one more season.
    - However, should Fabregas leave, Arsenal can forget plans to replace him with Mikel Arteta, according to the Everton midfielder's agent. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Arteta.
    - Sol Campbell has welcomed Celtic's interest and made it a clear a bumper two-year deal could tempt him to reject a one-year offer from Arsenal.

Fabregas should have a price tag which is at least 15m more than David Villa. He's younger and is already one of the top playmakers in the world.

I get the sense that he doesn't have a price tag at all. Arsenal doesn't want to sell him.

I think the youth movement starts producing next season.. once Cesc sees what he can be a part of here (not "here" for me.. but still) He might realize this (that) is where he wants to be. Why not be part of something big, in a more competetive league. While still being loyal to your mentor. Still the above information is good news. If they want him that bad.. pay but Bastards!

    http://www.clicklancashire.com/spor...ss-arsene-wenger’s-centre-back-hunt.html

Arsenal FC boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly looking to revamp the centre of his defence with Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill heading the list.

The London Evening Standard claims William Gallas looks set to leave and Sol Campbell’s age rules him out as a long-term solution.

It also seems that Wenger is less than convinced that Mikael Silvestre is capable of playing at the highest level.

Along with Cahill, it is understood that Neven Subotic of Borussia Dortmund and Senegalese centre-back Pape Diakhate are also being considered.
