    Jamine "Greedy" Peterson has been dismissed from the Providence Friars men's basketball team for violating team rules.

    Coach Keno Davis announced the dismissal on Tuesday, saying Peterson had broken unspecified team rules.

    Peterson was the Friars' leading scorer last season, averaging nearly 20 points a game and more than 10 rebounds.
