Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import offensive lineman Dan Comiskey has signed with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. "Dan is an experienced offensive lineman who has been very productive in the Canadian Football League," said Hufnagel. "We have been in contact throughout the off-season and we're very pleased that we could come to an agreement. He brings a lot of intrinsic value to the team in terms of leadership and attitude and will be a welcome addition when we go to camp in a few weeks." Comiskey has 12 years of CFL experience with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Edmonton Eskimos and Hamilton Tiger-Cats and he was a West Division all-star in 2003 and 2006. The Windsor, Ont., product has been to four Grey Cups during his career, winning championships in 2003 and 2005 with Edmonton. "I'm very excited to get the opportunity to play for Calgary," said Comiskey, who sat out the 2009 season. "I'm looking forward to going out there and playing all-star calibre football again. I'm so happy to be able to return to football with such a great team. I've been training for 18 months straight and this is the best I've felt in years." Comiskey has played 166 regular-season games in the CFL in addition to appearing in 13 post-season contests. He is the brother of former Stampeders offensive lineman John Comiskey, who recently announced his retirement. Calgary's 2010 rookie training camp begins on June 3 while main camp gets under way June 6. Stamps 2010 season tickets are available now.
