    The Cubs may have played their best game of the season Wednesday night in a 4-1 victory over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

    "I think it was, yes," manager Lou Piniella said. "Actually, the past couple of nights, it seems to me like we're picking it up."

    The Cubs have won four straight, and got an all-around performance to beat the defending National League champions.

    Tom Gorzelanny was brilliant while carrying a shutout into the seventh inning, outdueling 47-year-old Jamie Moyer before being hit on the left ring finger with a line drive and having to be removed from the game.
