<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Knicks and Bulls recently held trade discussions focusing on UConn star Ben Gordon, The Post has learned. According to sources in Chicago and a source close to Gordon, the Knicks were interested in acquiring the Mount Vernon native in exchange for, "one of the Knicks elite guards" and a No. 1 pick in next year's draft. The Post reported exclusively yesterday that the Knicks are looking into buying out coach Larry Brown and replacing him with GM Isiah Thomas, so any talks are in limbo. The source close to Gordon told The Post the 6-3 shooting guard, who won the NBA's 2005 Sixth Man of the Year Award, was happy in Chicago. But the source in Chicago pointed out that Gordon is better suited to playing the point, and Kirk Hinrich seems entrenched as the starting point guard. Gordon was unavailable to comment yesterday but he's expected to appear at Michael Jordon's restaurant, One Sixtyblue in Chicago on Wednesday to announce his new energy drink, BG7, as reported exclusively last week in The Post. Gordon averaged 16.9 points, three assists and 2.7 rebounds this season. Gordon has had some unbelievable games in the Garden as a collegian and would give the Knicks a young talent that is not bogged down by a long-term deal. According to published reports the Bulls have out feelers to gauge interest in Gordon.</div> LinkDoes anyone see this trade happening? On the Bulls part, i sure as hope not. I think this would be pretty stupid to do. Hopefully Paxson is smarter than doing this trade. If they trade Gordon, i would go somewhere else were i wouldnt get Knick garbage.
Well idk. Ben Gordon is awesome. But i bet it would be Jamal Crawford and the first rounder for Ben Gordon. Which isn't bad because Jamal kind of plays like Ben Gordon and you guys would get an early 1st round pick.
I be dam if Bulls bring crawford back. I hate that guy so much. and paxson is smarter then Thomas. So if a trade goes down Bulls win it. As we have shown in the last 2 trades we did with them. But if Gordon goes 2 ny wow. He loves playin there as you see. But we would have to get frye and HMMM idk they have no1 else 2 give us. But if frye is in the deal i might think about it. Cause then NY has way TOOO many gaurds But i dont see Paxson trading him to Ny. why do the knicks want all the bull players?Cawford Rose Curry. They wanted eddie robinson. They still want jay williams. Now gordon. Come on
Well you guys don't need Stephon Marbury because you got Kirk at point. So if a trade were to happen for an elite guard then it would have to be either Jamal or Steve Francis and I don't know if you guys want a cancer like "The Franchise". So it only makes since that if a trade went down it would be Jamal and the 1st round pick. So I don't see this happening in CHI town.
I don't think the bulls should trade Ben because he's a key part of their future and he's been playing well at the SG position. He's going to be a special player so I think it'll be a mistake to trade him.
But do the knicks really think we will take crawford back. We traded him for O.Harrington. No way we give up gordon to get him back. And gordons a better defender then crawful

I don't see a trade happening because Stephon has a huge contract and the Bulls already have Kirk and Francis is a "overrated cancer". Bulls don't want to give up Gordon for Francis so it would have to be Crawford, if anything, and that's not going to happen.
Wow... I mean, who isn't Isiah Thomas rumored to go after this offseason? Honestly, I don't see a deal between the two going down, especially one that sends Jamal Crawford back to the Windy City. Paxson would be a lot dumber than I expected him to be if he was to do this trade. The Bulls could get more for Gordon elsewhere...
Gordon will not be traded. End of story. He's got to much potential, and he means to much to the team for him to be traded anywhere. Knick fans need to stop fantasizing about other teams, and try and make a logical deal.
I don't think they should trade him. Hes been a great player in Chicago, and I see him staying there for a while.
Why would they want to trade Gordon? The kid is great with the ball in his hands and at creating his own shot. If you are sleeping, he will attack you. And he is one of the premier shooters in the game. He is still very young and a key part of the Bulls future. I dont understand the Bulls' motive on this one.
Lol we're not getting Gordon. The only way is if Thomas makes some crazyass move like Frye, Crawford + 1st round pick '07...and if he does he will be slaughtered.

He is not stupid at all. He drafted the rite players. Made trades we thought couldnt help but end up helping us alot.Draft Kirk,Duhon,Gordon,Deng. Scoted NocTraded Crawful for harrington and mutumbo. traded mutumbo for PikeGave Curry BIG contract traded him and davis to Ny For Sweets Thomas and unprotected 1st rounderwavie thomas.I think Paxson is one of the smartest Gm's out there. And hes always looking at players around the world.
