LiNK for Guarantee article<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rasheed sticks to latest guaranteeMonday, May 15, 2006By A. Sherrod BlakelyCLEVELAND -- Following a loss, players occasionally say something that, in hindsight, they wish they hadn't uttered. Rasheed Wallace is not that kind of player. When he told the media following Detroit's 86-77 loss to Cleveland on Saturday that the Pistons would win Game 4 of their NBA playoff series tonight, he meant it. And in case there was any doubt, he reiterated those sentiments Sunday. "I know we're gonna win," Wallace said following the Pistons' practice on Sunday. "Like I said (Saturday) night, I know we're gonna bust their (expletive) . . . (tonight) is the last game here, in this building (Quicken Loans Arena) this year. Y'all can quote me, put it back-page, front-page, whatever." Cleveland's LeBron James, aware of Wallace's comments, downplayed them. "Playoff time, you know you're going to get one good quote out of him," James said. "We can't get caught up in that." Said Cavaliers coach Mike Brown: "He's proven that he can back up his guarantees, so why not keep doing it?" Wallace's guarantee didn't raise any eyebrows among his teammates, who have dealt with Wallace guarantees each of the last three postseasons. "That's just Rasheed being Rasheed," said teammate Lindsey Hunter. "Everybody knows how Rasheed is."</div>hey, his guarantees always go our way. so why not predict against him?NBA.com preview-more depth, not just Sheed<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rasheed Wallace guarantees Pistons will win series over Cavs Detroit at Cleveland 7:00 pm EDT Eastern Conference Semifinal Pistons lead, 2-1 CLEVELAND (Ticker) - One loss did not serve as a wakeup call for Rasheed Wallace. The All-Star power forward of the Detroit Pistons guarantees that his team will win the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. But it will not be a sweep, thanks to LeBron James. The fourth-seeded Cavaliers have a chance to even the series when they host the Pistons on Monday night. "We are still going to win this series," Wallace said after Detroit lost here in Game Three, 86-77, on Saturday. "We are not going to let one game discourage us." The top-seeded Pistons also were ahead of the eighth-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, 2-1, in the first round before winning the next two games to close out the series. But the Bucks do not have James, who scored 15 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter of Game Three and also finished with 10 rebounds, 10 assists and four steals. "He (James) gets a triple-double in the second round of the NBA playoffs against the best team possibly in the league," Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. "I say it all the time - he's special." The Pistons were within 78-74 when James drained a 3-pointer from the right wing and found Damon Jones for another to open an 84-74 bulge with 40 seconds to go. Anderson Varejao added 16 points off the bench for Cleveland. The Cavaliers played without starting guard Larry Hughes, who averaged 15.5 points during the season but was not with the team due to the death of his younger brother. Hughes also will miss Game Four. Flip Murray started Game Three in Hughes' absence and scored 13 points. Cleveland is used to playing without Hughes, who missed 45 regular-season games after undergoing two surgeries for a broken finger. The Cavs went 26-19 in those games. The Pistons shot just 39 percent (28-of-71) in Game Three and managed only one basket in the final five-plus minutes. Richard Hamilton scored 22 points and backcourt mate Chauncey Billups added 20 for Detroit, which will host Game Five on Wednesday. Seeking their third straight trip to the NBA Finals, the Pistons are two wins away from advancing to the Eastern Conference finals for the fourth consecutive year.</div>Pistons will win, and Sheed will do better than 11 points, he'll feel like he has to do something to win if he's the one guaranteeing them.Vareajo will be STOPPED he'll have less than 10 points, thats for sure. :dribble: :brucelee:

I know we will win. Sheed doesn't have to gaurantee it. It just makes us look better when we do win.

Sheed needs to seriously shut up. All this prediction stuff is just firing up Lebron and the rest of the Cavs players.

If Rasheed wasn't injured he would have done more to help his guarentee.
