No, because they knew about this in February. The Raptors and Lakers had the parameters of a deal in place for a Bosh for Bynum deal. LA eventually pulled out because they were unsure how the addition of Bosh would affect chemistry mid-season and they were concerned that Bosh could bolt via free agency in the summer. Both concerns should go away this summer and the two teams agreed to revisit talks after the playoffs ended. They are in a very good position to land Bosh if that's where he wants to play. It's the Raptors first choice among the sign-and-trade options available to them.

Maybe this is why Bynum was in a funk the last game. There's been constant trade talk on local radio about him being sent to Toronto for Bosh.

yes please....enjoy Bynum sitting out the rest of next year after some knee injury in the first 20 games.

He reminds me of Eric Gange on the Dodgers...get rid of him while value is high and hasnt fallen apart yet

Hopefully Bynum becomes what he was supposed to be in LA.

I believe the Raptors would also have a team option to release him in 2011, if it doesn't work out. So take a shot, then get some cap room I suppose.

I've been a big supporter of this trade since i heard bout it. I think Bynum will be able to perform well in Toronto (assuming he's healthy of course) because he will have a perimeter big man to help free up some space for him, and maybe Turk will be able to help him (he knows how to play with a dominant big man after all). Plus like HK said its a low risk because we would have a team option if it doesn't work out. He will also be the first or second option here in Toronto whereas he was at best a third option in LA. Here's hoping LAL lose to the Suns, because i don't see them making a huge move if they win the championship

Getting Bynum would be pretty good for the Raps, it would be even better if they throw in 2 first round picks.

In terms of a sign and trade, not doubt it will be good for the raptors, not to mention what it will bring to the lakers.

I would be a little concerned with his injuries he has had. If the Raptors are convinced he will be ok for the long term, then this idea could seriously take Bosh out of the free agent market quickly.

Well Bynum is an elite center when healthy which hasn't been more than 50 games the past 3 seasons. If he can just stay healthy he might make an all star team in the West. But I would take Bosh who averages basically 25 & 10 a game over 15 & 10 any day of the week.

Bosh doesn't get respect in Toronto that will quickly change if he comes to Hollywood.
