Source: http://www.kgw.com/news/Police-say-Troutdale-girl-stopped-burglary-94828659.html My only feeling is. This family should move to a different house while these guys are in jail. I have a feeling one of these men will come back to the house and try to kill them.
Is that a racist assumption, that the intruders/robbers were Mexican, and therefor savages with intent on revenge? I'm not following your thought pattern on your comment at the end, please enlighten me. Also, a 12 year old is almost a damn teenager and not like an infant. Why the big shock that she would know to call 911?
Stupid girl. Profiling like that..... Tsk Tsk. Just because they were Mexican, and trying to break in to her house, doesn't mean they meant her any harm. They probably saw her and tried to help her because she was all alone. I hope the families of those fine young men sue the crap out of the the girl and her family for emotional damages because of the blatant profiling and racism here. On another note, do we know if they were legal citizens yet? I sure hope so. They deserve to be in our jails so that same family can pay for their food and shelter. It probably would have cost them less in the long run just to have their stuff stolen.
Haha. I bet 1/3 of latino/hispanic population in the state of Oregon are illegal anyways. Good luck of those latino/hispanice families of suing for racial profiling. Ha. Dumbfucks, those latino/hispanic men were breaking into a home. Chris_in_pdx Give it up and give it "bleeping" rest. They did a crime. Suck it up. Your profiling justification has no merit or ground as a comment by me. Did I label this topic as racial? You just gave it your assumption. Whatever dude.
Why should he give it a rest? What was your feeling? A gut feeling? Based on what? As far as I can tell that article offers no quote from the robbers, not quotes from their family members, all it does offer is their race and names. Chris isn't arguing that they did a crime, but it's okay we're in post racial America and being called out on possible racism is far more offensive than you know, the possible racist act/comment.
I don't understand why the family needs to move after the burglary. Do these men work for Keyser Soze? I don't follow the OP's logic AT ALL. Hooray that a kid called 911 and stopped a crime, but all of a sudden the entire family is in danger? How did you make THAT connection?
So.. if the criminals were named in the article "Jeremy Smith, William Reginald, and Chad Kazinski", would your reaction and post be the same? I already know the answer, so save your fingers.
You'd probably just say that he assumes they're black. There is little anyone can do to convince another that he's not racist. Ed O.
Well, you are certainly stretching to assume his hypothetical response to a hypothetical response to a hypothetical question.
how is anything nate dogg said racist? it's not even close. he's saying that the criminals know where the family lives so the family should move to make sure they're safe. that has nothing to do with race is any way. i don't necessarily agree that the family should move, but race isn't involved.
Oh COME ON. So, by his logic, every person that's house is robbed should move to avoid retribution by the criminals if they are caught? Paranoid much? And please tell me how he lept to ANY kind of conclusion like that without taking into account the OBVIOUS latino names mentioned in the article? Jesus, do some people just CHOOSE to think that racial prejudice plays no role in some people's reactions and attitudes? It's not tough to see the signs when you have been exposed to situations where you see it first-hand, and when you choose to look for them instead of refusing to accept that subtle (and not so subtle) racism still exists in this country.
the part in bold is what i got from reading his post. if you disagree with that, that is what you should be arguing about. there literally is no reason for you to assume he came to that conclusion because of latino names being mentioned. there was no subtle(or not so subtle) racism involved at all in his post.
