USA will be playing its final home tune-up match against Turkey on May 29 in Philadelphia. Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is set for 2 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and Galavision.

Yesterday I saw the whole Turkish team at the airport I work (Hartford), talked to a few of them, like Altintop of Munich, saw the new coach Guus Hiddink as well. :)

Everyone was looking at them, not knowing who they are etc, it was funny lol. I'll definitely watch the game on Saturday.

this should be a very interesting game. with the final roster in place, i assume we'll basically see the US starting lineup for the england game.

It's going to be a good game to watch, US will play hard to win especially after the loss from the Czechs, otherwise I would have chosen Turkey for the W.

Turks have nothing to play for though

Well some players want to show they're good to be called up for games from Hiddink. Other than that you're right, this is vacation time for them. lol

My parents are in the stone age, so no regular internets for me until I move at the start of July.

As for my thoughts on this match, what a horrendous first half. Dempsey and Clark have the same issue, where they're either brilliant or absolutely awful. In the first half, both were awful and irrelevant to the play. When Clark isn't holding his weight, Bradley gets stuck back doing defensive midfield duty and doesn't get involved in the attack and the entire US game plan shuts down.

Second half subs were huge. Torres controlled possession from the back and showed a bit more defensive bite than I had ever seen from him. Bradley was playing box to box, like he should be. Robbie Findley was shockingly good and showed what the elder Bradley was seeing in him. The pass he sent on for Donovan on Jozy's goal was brilliant.

I think seeing Dempsey in the role he started in has changed my opinion of what is best for the US. I don't like him starting up front anymore. Here's what I'd like to see against England in 14 days:

    GK - Howard
    DR - Spector
    DL - Bocanegra
    DC - Onyewu
    DC - DeMerit
    MR - Dempsey
    ML - Donovan
    MC - Torres
    MC - Bradley
    ST - Altidore
    ST - Gomez/Findley

Torres was amazing and completely changed the game. The 2nd half lineup looked much better compared to the first but I would rather see Gomez upfront instead of Findley, he looked much more dynamic against the Czechs than Findley did today.

I disagree. Findley is the dynamic player, while Gomez is the smart guy who gets in the right spots to score goals.
