Oh and Brilz got ripped the fuck off man. He got seriously ripped. I hope Dana gives him a rematch. I think Rampage will be back in the octagon soon. He clearly had some ring rust, but Rashad was the better man tonight. I don't expect a big lay for Rampage, maybe they'll get him on 118 or 119? Rampage knew he had lost and knew he missed his opportunity. Rashad vs. Shogun doesn't really entice me. However, I hope it is a good fight. I dunno, Rashad was quicker than I remember him ever being tonight.
Lil Nog vs. Rampage is enticing. That is a very nice boxing match. Machida vs. Rampage is also entertaining. Great fight for both fighters. Machida has to be the favorite, though.
Luis Cane and Todd Duffee losing surprised me big time. Imagine if someone parlayed Cyrille and Russow...
Cyrille winning didn't surprise me. I didn't see the fight, but he's got great standup. I figured it would be a stand up battle. Now Duffee losing..whoa...
Call me crazy, but I think Cyrille Diabate and Anderson Silva would be one hell of a stand up war. Both are just naturally gifted strikers with power. The fight wouldn't be going to the ground and someone would be getting KTFO. Hopefully that fight can happen one day. I wonder were Cyrille goes from here. Cyrille/Lil' Nog?
Cyrille was fighting hands down and chin up, I don't think he's gonna do to well in the future unless he tightens up his defense alittle.

they're paying them 6,000 dollars to fight mma style? that's robbing the fighters IMO, especially knowing the millions that UFC gets. wow
Well most fighters are sponsored and even low level guys can get $5-$10,000 for wearing branded gear and having stuff on their banners. Also most of these guys run schools, teach, have day jobs, etc.. But yeah when you are a guy just starting out or someone with no reputation it is hard to make a living. Interim Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin was a full-time engineer in addition to fighting up until like two years ago.
damn man, but its dangerous, at least 10x more dangerous than boxing yet they seem to get robbed when they start. you can get disabled on your first fight and you have nothing in return. minimum should be 25,000 per fight IMO, for lowest fight (card) and going up from there.
It is much safer than boxing but I agree that pay should be higher for everyone involved. It will be someday.
Here's an interesting blurb on him from yahoosports: http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news;_ylt=Avewno1iPCrB6dYN6SjzAXw9Eo14?slug=dd-observations053110 He was the first really big English UFC star right? I reckon that gave him a lot of leverage when negotiating a contract. Dude gets a lot of English fans watching. Even Americans will pay to watch his fights in hopes of him getting Hendo'ed again.
Certainly but can the UFC give him a paycut? I imagine his contract was signed before there were some other big name English guys around.
